You are eligible for PSLF when you own one of the loans that qualifies and you’ve made 120 qualifying payment on the loan. You might be able to apply for PSLF by making just 10 qualifying repayments, but you must apply for it within the first 10 years of the repayment period.
You do not have to be a candidate for PSLF immediately at the time of beginning your repayment period. You can wait until having made 120 payments before submitting for it.
