You can qualify to file for PSLF in the event that you have a qualifying loan and are able to make 120 qualifying repayments on that loan. You could be eligible to file for PSLF after you have made only 10 qualifying payments, but you must submit a request for it for it within 10 years from the commencement of the repayment period.
